Solar Mapping Projects

GeoSUN has participated in a number of solar country mapping projects.

Such a project entails the installation of a number of high accuracy solar-meteorological stations which are typically maintained for a two year period.

A solar map, based mainly on satellite derived data and available ground data, can be generated with the onset of the project. The map is updated typically after 12 months and again after 24 months of ground measurements.
